Denzel Brewer AMTA Lifetime MemberOctober 26, 1936 -  April 12, 2009
Denzel very happy to be using his laptop Ready to fly away Denzel at the 2007 Reunion
Denzel Brewer was a lifetime member of the AMTA and a strong supporter of this small but worthwhile organization.  Denzel had many friends throughout Security Service and he will be greatly missed as he enjoyed the AMTA reunions and we looked forward to seeing him each time.
Denzel Billy Joe Brewer (Leeburn Herbert Whitehorse4, Lewis3, Isom2, Willis B.1) was born October 26, 1936 in Malaga, Wolfe, Kentucky, USA.  He married Pauline Nadine Borders March 16, 1957 in Jackson, Michigan, USA.  She was born 16 Aug 1937 in Jackson, Michigan, USA.  Denzel and Pauline were married in the Free Methodist Church (where they met) on 16 March 1957.  They spent their Honeymoon traveling from Michigan to Lake Charles, Louisiana to their new station, Lake Charles until 1962

Denzel started his Airborne ECM Operator training at Keesler AFB, Mississippi on September 1, 1955.  His class graduated on January 31, 1956.  The entire class was assigned to Fairchild AFB, Washington for Survival School.  Denzel's next assignment was the 305th Bomb Wing, Bunker Hill AFB, Peru, and Indiana, 1962-1966.  Then their next duty station was Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas from February 23, 1966 to July 1, 1966.

The came the airborne maintenance technician (AMT) assignment to the 6988TH SECURITY SQUADRON--YOKOTA AB, JAPAN

He was promoted to TSGT on December 1, 1966 and went on his first temporary duty (TDY) to Vietnam the day after Christmas 1966.

Then he went with the group from Yokota to ---- Okinawa to get a new squadron going - Arrived November 20,1967 and departed June 7, 1974

1974- 1975 – Goodfellow Air Base- San Angelo, Texas

After they sold their house in San Angelo, moved to a rental house in Fort Worth and before school started that year bought a nice three-bedroom home between Fort Worth and Burleson, Texas.  Denzel quit his job and attended Real Estate school, graduated, took the State board examination and passed.  Applied for work at one of the local offices but after a short time realized that working with the public was not his favorite thing.  He saw an advertisement for an Electronic Technician, applied, was hired and he worked there for four years until an Engineering friend asked him to come work with him at Gearhart Owens of Fort Worth.  His friend had started a small research unit and needed someone with a background in Electronics and explosives.  Denzel worked with him for seven years until oil prices went very low. Then he worked for General Dynamics as a "Technical Writer" on the F-16 Aircraft until a downsizing which forced him to either get another job or retire. Denzel chose retirement in 1995.  Moved to Hot Springs Arkansas, but moved back to Springtown, Texas in 2003.

Denzel Brewer and Pauline Borders had two children:
