Guidelines to honor those we have known and loved  but have passed on.....

We have many friends and AMTs  associated with the Airborne Maintenance Technician Association (AMTA) who pass away or lose a loved one at sometime in their life.  This page is set up to provide guidelines to follow as to what the AMTA will do for those friends or loved ones and their families when the AMTA is made aware of the passing in a reasonable time.
bulletIf an AMT passes away who is  a member of the AMTA his family will receive a sympathy card and flowers or directed contribution from the AMTA.
bulletA flag box in honor of the deceased AMT will be provided to the family.
bulletThe name of the deceased AMT will be added to the Fallen AMT List on the AMTA Website.
bulletA blanket email will be sent to the AMTs on the current AMT Email list, notifying them of the loss.
bulletIf an AMT who is  a member of the AMTA has a spouse (spouse only)  to pass away or is an Associate Member; the  family will receive a sympathy card and flowers or directed contribution from the AMTA.
bulletThe name of the deceased spouse or Associate Member will be added to the Fallen Honorary Members and Friends List on the AMTA Website.
bulletA blanket email will be sent to the AMTs on the current AMT Email list, notifying them of the loss.
bulletIf an AMT passes away who is NOT a member of the AMTA his family will receive a sympathy card from the AMTA.
bulletThe name of the deceased will be added to the Fallen AMT List on the Website.
bulletA blanket email will be sent to the AMTs on the current AMT Email list, notifying them of the loss.
bulletIf a spouse of an AMT passes away and the AMT is NOT a member of the AMTA the family will receive a sympathy card from the AMTA.  This applies only to the spouse of the AMT.
bulletA blanket email will be sent to the AMTs on the current AMT Email list, notifying them of the loss.
bulletIf a close friend of the AMTs passes away, and the Board of Directors deems it appropriate....
bulletThe deceased person's name will be added to the Fallen Honorary Members and Friends List on the AMTA Website.
bulletA blanket email will be sent to the AMTs on the current AMT Email list, notifying them of the loss.
The AMTA is made up of AMTs and it is for the AMTs.  Our desire is to support and be there for everyone of our AMT family as much as possible.  We must put limitations on certain things while giving as the AMTA is a not-for-profit organization which has limited funds.
